All adoption pets are available on a first-come-first-served basis. Hours at the Pieloch Pet Adoption Center are Tuesday-Friday from 11:30am-7:00pm and Saturday & Sunday from 12:00-5:00pm. All interactions must begin at least one hour before close.  Please call us at (402) 441-4488 ext. 1 with any questions.

What's included in the adoption fee?

  • A health exam by the shelter veterinary staff
  • Spay/Neuter
  • Treatment for fleas, ticks, and mites (if present)
  • Treatment for intestinal parasites
  • Heartworm test for canines
  • Feline Leukemia/FIV test for felines
  • Microchip & Microchip registration
  • DA2PP & Bordetella vaccinations for canines
  • FVRCP vaccination for felines

*Additional fees will be collected for the rabies vaccination and city license when applicable.

A $25.00 Lincoln Animal Control city license will be charged to adopters living within city limits. No license fee is charged to those living outside Lincoln city limits.

Seniors for Seniors: Provides a 50% discount on adoption fees for senior animals to adopters age 60 and over.

Ready for Twice the Fun? Adopt two pets at the same time & the second adoption fee is reduced by 50%.
