Shana Perry
Shana is the Director of Development at Capital Humane Society. She began her work as a volunteer in 2013 and became a member of the staff in 2014. She has held the title of Director of Development at CHS two times, returning at the end of 2023. She is ecstatic to be at home in the animal welfare sphere.
She is a Fremont native and Nebraska Wesleyan University graduate. Outside of work, Shana is found spending time with her two young children (Perry and Llewyn), husband (Tyler), and their three dogs (Teddy, Charlotte, and Aspen) and two cats (Rory and Noodle). Four of the five pets are CHS alumni. Shana enjoys photography, singing, dancing, and writing. If you’re in Lincoln on a Saturday morning, you’ll likely find her on Prescott Avenue chatting with local shop owners and chasing her kids from store to store.
Shana’s favorite part of working at CHS is seeing the community come together to support pets in need. From the Annual Dinner to the Pet Walk and Festival, she enjoys engaging with fellow animal lovers.
