Michaela Swiatek, DVM
Dr. Michaela Swiatek attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science in 2017. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree from Iowa State University in 2021.
Dr. Michaela grew up on a ranch near Denton, Nebraska helping raise dogs, cats, bunnies, horses and the occasional fish! These animals inspired her to become a veterinarian. Dr. Michaela became an associate veterinarian at Capital Humane Society in March of 2023. Prior to her return to Capital Humane Society, she spent several years as a small animal general practitioner in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Her favorite part about working at Capital Humane Society is serving Lincoln’s families and animals by providing care and being a small part in the animal's journey to a forever home.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family on the lake, playing with her dog, Cash, listening to live music and horseback riding.
